Is Architecture About Money or Passion?By Arunika Sharma

Architecture is Passion
Creation is a powerful skill, an intriguing ability evolving from our originality and perspectives. By formulating our own unique creations, we may endeavor to create a parallel between our imagination and the world in which we live. Winston Churchill once emphasized the fact that "we shape our buildings, thereafter they shape us". In my mind, these buildings personify and embody the diverse cultures that exist today, reflecting the power and endless potential of man's genius. Self expression is what differentiates us as an individual. It is the passion for architecture that acts as a catalyst for inspiration and therefore provides with a prominent sense of ambition and desire. Insightful demonstration has allowed passion to evolve further, hence determining the decision to continue at a more advanced level. I believe the course will challenge creative potential, culminating in the formulation of one’s own, authentic designs. In effect, architecture is a potent, influential force in life that gives a sense of direction and meaning. I agree with the ideology that an individual will rarely exceed his own expectations. Architecture installs a belief that one can achieve and reach new heights, therefore acting as a foundation for success and fulfillment in the future. Unless you don’t have a passion in something you cannot fulfill it. For e.g. until you don’t put your heart and soul while making a building you cannot achieve full success in making a magnificent building. But if you make it with all your passion and principles and be truthful to that building, I am sure the building will definitely stand out.
Architecture is Money
Everyone on earth wants to make huge amount of money. You just can’t make a building for free. We study so much in life in order to stand out from the public in terms of money fame and name. Despite doing a five year course and spending lump sum on education and then doing it all for less or for free is not a justified thing to do. We are put under various pressures from all sides we have to serve our family and similar other things. But when we see our peers making huge amount of money despite being less educated than us, this gives us an inferiority complex and we start fooling our clients and start making money out of it in order to pick up the pace of the society.
I personally think you need to have a passion for architecture. You need to put your heart and soul while making a building you cannot achieve full success in making a magnificent building if you make it with all your passion and principles and be truthful to that building i am sure the building will definitely stand out. But I think at the same time money is also an important factor to survive in this world without money you cannot stand any higher.
