Bigg Boss House Interior

When its about entertainment in India, nothing can beat the masaledaar episodes cooked in Bigg Boss. And this time it just got bigger and better (at least for the audience). The set along with  all time favorite host Salman Khan, was all ready to take the contestants for an adventurous ride through the well thought set designs and of course the usual drama that unfolded with each episode.

The set this time, as you all might have noticed was different in many ways from the rest of the seasons’. With double trouble as the theme this season, we could not have imagined it any better. The interiors were a splash of vibrant colours, going Mediterrenean this time- from bright velvety blue and pink to majestic hues of gold and red.

Located in one of the tourist hot spots, Lonavala, the exteriors blended well with the scene outside. The contestants received a warm welcome to the house which had a sparkling swimming pool right in front of the entrance that bloomed with pretty floral brocade. This well pleasing welcome look was definitely to double the haunting surprises that awaited them inside.

The set left no single chance of doubling the trouble. Set designer, Omung Kumar took four whole months in designing this house, trying to keep it as loud as possible. The vibrant, loud colors like pitch velvety blue and pink for the sofas and beds were ways to put the contestants in psychological pressure to bring out their true emotions.

The rooms literally were stuffed either with the flashy colors or the décor arrangement.
The living room, for instance had two large curved sofas in bright blue facing each other, with cushions that had almost all the colors in a rainbow. The TV was mounted on a wall that was packed with cut outs of luggage trunks. The already filled living room with walls done in bright,  flashy colors, was adorned with large mirrors that doubled the ‘uneasy’ effect.

Washroom, however , looked more royal and pretty with a timeless color combination of red and golden. Majestic red walls dotted with ethnic patterns formed the backdrop for the wash counter with elegant single mirror laced with pretty yellow frames. Wooden floorings coupled with sinhasan seats might have given the contestants, an ambience they could compare with the royal palaces'. Lighting was yet another important factor that helped to accentuate the overall look of the room.

Bedroom

Bedrooms too served the concept of doubling the trouble (or was it doubling the fun?). A large single bedroom was designed that had 7 beds in pair, one of each was a bit raised than the other. The bed linens again, were in rich, vibrant hues, which pleased some and disgusted others. The main attraction was however, the walls behind the bed that was upholstered with plush cushions in rich, satin fabric.

Dining area

Twin chairs, again, not in the usual woody or steel shade, but in funky colors, were set around the dining table to create a warm and light environment over the dinner. While the rest of the space was brimming with pretty colours and patterns, the floor was kept simple with woody finish that had white timeless Indian pattern all over.

Use of different sources and layers of light was another distinctive feature of this season’s set with chandeliers, pedant lights, rustic lantern lights and candles dotting the entire interiors, making it lively and glossy.

Roof top lounge

It was not only the trouble that got doubled. A surprise roof top lounge gorgeously set on wooden flooring, too had seats in doubles that sat on a thin green carpet giving a beautiful contrast to the wooden surrounding. This open air lounge would definitely have been one of the things that the contestants loved the most.

Salman’s chalet

Talking about Bigg Boss and not mentioning the real star? This can’t happen. Salman, as usual, might have been one of the biggest reasons why we all were glued to the show.

Salman’s chalet too, this time saw some drastic changes as there was no gym inside the room for the superstar was trying to put on some extra fat for his next action packed movie –Sultan, which  features Salman as a hard core wrestler in the making.

The room was themed to have a superhero look considering Salman’s popularity among the public. The accent wall had a larger than life picture of dabang hero in one of his superhero avatars as seen in the movie ‘kick’. The furniture was kept classy with an extraordinarily long sofa as the host was to have frequent meetings with the production team.
