The ISARCH awards are out with their 4th Edition. The international awards which are cofounded by Clapés Nicolau and Francesca Neus Frontera Carbonell engage all students of architecture with debates around architectural possibilities and solutions; within a framework of their university studies. Aimed as platforms to the professional and corporate world, a further objective of the ISARCH Awards is to encourage and promote young people to join the debates on architecture by offering both vision and opinions.
The publication of competition entries on the ISARCH website, deliberation period for the panel of judges (80% of the final score) and public voting period at the website (20% of the final score) is scheduled from 7th of July to 21st of July 2014. The ISARCH website will be receiving 30 finalists, 10 honorable mentions as well as the announcement of the first, second and third prize winners by the 4th of August, 2014. The registration period for the awards closes on 30th of June.
The jury members for the 4th Edition of the ISARCH awards are, Professor Sir Peter Cook, Patrick Schumacher of Zaha Hadid Architects, Odile Decq of Studio Oldile Decq, Fuensanta Nieto of Nieto Sobejano Arquitectos, Diego L. Arahuetes of Kengo Kuma, Tomislav Dushanov of Herzog & de Meuron, Enric Ruiz Geli of Cloud 9, Gavin Robotham of Cook Robotham Architectural Bureau and Benedetta Tagliabue of Miralles Tagliabue EMBT. Additionally, the awards highlight internships at firms such as Kengo Kuma, Zaha Hadid and Herzog & De Meuron.
The three winning projects (entered by students individually or in groups) will receive prizes worth a sum total of €7,000. As part of its interest in promoting the winning projects, ISARCH also aims to promote and recognize the winning projects at international scales including specialized journals and websites and on ISARCH’s various platforms and its website.
