Encouraging The Traditional Indian Elements In Buildings.

Traditional Indian Design & Architecture

Guys whenever we get to study the History Of Architecture,we often notice the regional tastes of architecture, the elements and the building styles.

In present day much of that is getting vulnerable, all that we get to see is far away from that traditional touch.

what all do yo suggest to bring back those same elements and design forms back into trend?

It should not be just copying of the design elements of traditional architecture. One should try get the spirit of it. Traditional Indian Archiotecture does not just have a style alone. It respected the climate & environment. In hotter zones one finds courtyards and water bodies and even fountains, to cool down the atmosphere.

To have the design elements - if highly ornate - in an economical way, I have personally found Birla's GRC Architectural Elements (Glass Reinforced Concrete) a great solution. Combine them with climatological planning, you'll be close to Indian Traditional Architecture - region wise - yet using today's technology as GRC.

Blending in the regional architecture along with modern contemporaray designs is the best bet to keep alive the magic of Tadtional Indian Designs along with the convenience of comtemporary designs. As someone hightlighted traditional designs were not only about asthetic appeal but rather blending in with the climate & atmosphere of a particular region, we must try and implement these aspects in our designs.I have personally found Nitido Designs to be one of those interior design firms who quite beautifully amalgamate Traditional indian & modern contemporary designs.
