Serenity Valley Project is a conceptual masterplan for a gated community located in Pune. Envisioned as an integrated commercial and residential hub designed to maximise efficiency with minimal resource wastage -via its strategic location, multiple intelligent green features, a wide array of business solutions, and synergistic smart facilities sharing - that is managed and serviced by a dedicated team of professionals that will constantly and continuously work together with the community, with the aim of making it a sustainable hub in the future. The project will bring 1,000 residences and over 1 million square feet area of retail and business space overlaid with a series of childrens parks, public plazas and 70% green cover. The site, with its slopes and views, is perfectly suited for bringing an experience of the native landscape to this urban condition. The existing site had two large wells which were utilized to create a central water feature along with high-end low-rise luxury apartments. We have defined clear meeting places at every location and merged traffic-related and green elements. It flavours the walk to work concept. The master plan will therefore naturally become integrated into its context and attract a wide variety of user groups. The design takes advantage of the sloping topography, the architecture of the residential buildings offers wilderness and lake views and outdoor space to residents, while zig-zagging pedestrian paths provide gently sloping routes through the site, combining with the buildings to define a number of neighbourhood plazas.
