Galtex Textures and Paints Pvt. Ltd - Project completed in 2014. Our tryst with working on a Steel building resulted in this..! Of four storeys and a Concrete basement, this structure took form inside the existing ageing concrete and brick structure and was built without completely removing the existing building. Used the existing foundation to support the steel structure and saved money on it. The old building had 2 floors and a temporary roof structure, which we replaced with a four floor structure by reducing floor to floor height. This was achieved with the steel sections used, and the light weight flooring made over the frames. The weight of the walls were reduced by going for cement composite panels which were screwed on to the steel frame. The building faces a possible road widening which could happen in the coming 10- 15 years time and if required can be dismantled and cost recovered during that time.
