NAVI MUMBAI, Maharashtra, India-400614 4 Star Hotel, Panvel, Hospitality-Hotel
This is a project currently in the pipeline. The client is J.M.Mathre. He wants open a 4 star hotel in Panvel, Navi Mumbai. He didn't want to create resistant block ( massing which would block the commuters view ). He wants the building to respond to its location, which had view to double level roadways. For this purpose, we split up the building massing into two volumes based on the roadways. It was very essential that the design incorporates and accentuates the green around it. So we brought the nature into the massing and by cleverly changing the topography of the green, we were able to hide the services underneath it, while the green patch opens up to be inform gathering space and potential for the anchor restaurant. The level that splits the two volumes would serve as a secondary semi-public level with swimming pool and other amenties. The volume above this level was then, as per requirement divided into banquet halls and rooms.
