Vault House, Residential-Single family dwelling

The project incorporates various construction techniques ranging from flat funicular shells, vaulted roofs, dome etc. Exterior brick work on the western facade is done with micro niches such that the wall inter-shades itself and reduces direct heat gains. Planning is done keeping in view the micro-climate of the house. Shading devises, green courtyards, wind tower and earth tunnels help keep the internal temperature lower. The wind tower is located in accordance to the prevailing winds and the main circulation of the house such that all interior spaces remain naturally ventilated.
