Project Status: Completed

This was a speciality treatment extension facility for a cancer hospital at Mysore, one of the few such treatment centers in India. The core of the facility was a thick concrete structure that houses a specialized nuclear medicine based Linear Accelerator Machine, used for treating cancer patients. The other programmatic requirements of the project were a reception with a waiting hall, consulting rooms and a conference facility to discuss cases. A conscious use of structural glazing was used on the north side, so as to as to maximize daylight inside the reception area, while reflecting an existing raintree that was conserved on the outside.
