Project Status: Completed

Located in the hot and dry climate of Hospet region and facing the western sun, the house was consciously oriented to utilize the south western breeze and to keep the western sun at bay from the activity area. The client couple are an eminent writer and a Hindustani singer. They were open to design oppurtunities in terms of semiontics of the interior spaces. Use of the arch as a repetitive element and the use of unique 'construction' materials like inverted clay pots as filler materials in the roof, aids the acoustics of the space.
