The Gateway Resort, Gurgaon, Hospitality-Restaurant & Cafe

The resort functions as a weekend retreat in the outskirts of Gurgaon, with a rustic, homely atmosphere nestled in the natural environment. The site was originally a Botanical Park of approximately 20 acre with over 1000 trees of diverse scale and variety. The resort is built over nearly 50% of the site covering an area of approximately 11 acre. The first design decision was to retain the full-grown trees at site and evolve an architectural and landscape design centered around these.

The resort essentially exhibits three attributes - landscape, local materials and exposed structure. Consequently, the artwork including scrap metal sculptures, embroidered and hand-painted textiles and studio ceramics were conceived to lend a similar experience by reflecting the essence of the natural habitat.
