Vedic Village Resort, Kolkata, Hospitality-Restaurant & Cafe

Vedic Village is an agrarian community of like-minded people living in rural and organic landscape. It consists of 250 acres of land area developed as organic farms. Besides the farms, which are individually owned but centrally managed, the center comprises a resort, nature health care center and housing communities.

The Resort is aimed at people who need a refuge away from the noise and pollution of the city. The architecture draws from the local construction techniques, materials, site topography and lifestyle in an endeavor to create an eco-friendly environment essentially absorbed in nature.  The design focuses on existing water bodies and vegetation and hence a system of interconnected ponds and open spaces was designed in a way to naturally facilitate the drainage system.

ZingyEdit: "Heaven at earth", is the apt description to the design of this cafe giving a feeling of warmth and relaxation while at the same time keeping the onlooker awestruck with its charisma. The cafe triumphs at giving the feel of a resort with the traditional bamboo and grass ceiling along with colorful interiors adding vibrancy to it.
