Xiqu Centre, Hong Kong, Mixed use-Others

A world-class facility conceived to allow Xiqu Chinese opera to be preserved as a contemporary Chinese art form and cultural heritage in Hong Kong. Occupying a prime site of 13,800 square metres, the building provides a lantern-like entrance to the West Kowloon Cultural District. It employs the traditional Moongate motif with a dynamic treatment of the facade. The buildings flow, or Qi, is expressed with curvilinear paths and forms and its leisure space includes training facilities, auditoria and a tea house.
