Residence for Nitesh Maheshwari at Chittaurgarh, Residential-Single family dwelling

Two friends from Chittaurgarh wanted their single storied residences to be revived along with addition of a first floor to accomodate their space needs. The sites sat tight in the midst of the city and little too scope was left to alter the existing structures for the first floor. So a new skin was added over the existing one and the first floor had to be planned as per the existing staircases and setbacks. As the sites was tightly located, their abutting properties would not allow free ventilation so a series of ventilation shaft took care of that. Both the projects endow enough ventilation, light and views to engage the owners, Yet each one of them enjoy a different character.
