Project Status: CompletedThe design accommodates Living, Dining, Kitchen, Meditation Room, four bedrooms, two at the ground floor level and two at first floor level including Home theatre, and private terraces. The Project has an unobtrusive and modern appearance from the street and equally modern, streamlined, light-filled interiors. This house set backs from the main road to provide a generous landscape buffer and car park, the high compound wall has beautiful warli art grill through out the northern side. The spatial organization begins with the entry foyer with locally available huge stone pillars, immediately upon entry the main area of the house are separated by living and dining, this translates into a dramatic double height volume in which the wall unit has the same language followed to the ceiling with a northern sunlight penetrating through the sky light into the living area. An outdoor deck is created outside living providing a private oasis. The sand stone cladding of the stair wall gave the interior a claustrophobic feel, overlooking dining and open kitchen, Adopting a material palette of light-coloured stone for the staircase wall, silver-anodized brushed finish stainless steel for the stores at the kitchen glass and white painted walls, a circular red column at the breakfast counter breaks the simplicity of the interiors, this Project is an example of how a contemporary urban family home can be created through the consideration of space and circulation, construction and finishes. Various Materials in direct juxtaposition allow navigation around places of contrasting character. External yellow sand stone wall render enhance the perception of the entry and exterior has been given new life by adding a water feature at north east corner. The spaces are clearly defined by the form, texture and materials of the exterior as well as interior scheme enhancing the occupants joy of living.
