Through the ages punjab was a crucible of culture. An unending amalgamate of communities and confluence cultures took place resulting in a pragmatic experimental and utilitarian outlook on life and a robust common sense view which debilitated the root of all sorts of dogmas, conversions and conservatism. A relationship between culture and fashion is intrinsic and dynamic. Culture across the world uses clothing to make a statement on the nature of power relations, personal relations and hierarchies within communities. Design is an integral area of study in culture and fashion as it is constantly subject to change and reflects current tastes and cultural trends. in october 2013 was the opening of a designer showroom in amritsar. punjab in trilium mall. a 1100 sq.ft of designer showroom is in high fashion which consists of custom made high end indian and western garments for men, to suit an individual's personality.
